We got rain again! Getting ready for another special cow sale on May 8, 2024 in conjunction with our regular sale. To consign cattle or for more information call John Fortenberry at 806-983-7394.

So far we know of:

-60 head of 3yr old, black & black motley faced, 4-6 months bred-single iron branded

-80 head of 3yr old, black & black motley faced, 4-6 months bred-single iron branded

-120 head of mostly 3-4yr old and some 5yr old, 90% black & black motley faced and some reds, 4-6 months bred

-20 head of 3-4yr old, black & black motley faced, 4-6 months bred

-25 head of 3yr old, black Corrientes, dehorned and bred to Angus bulls

-40 head of red & red motley faced, 1st calf heifer pairs, been exposed to black bull-single iron branded

-60 head of black & black motley faced, 1st calf heifer pairs, been exposed to black bull-single iron branded

-25 head of black & red, 3-6yr old Fall calvers

-40 head of 5-6yr old, mostly black & black motley faced, Fall calvers

-60 head of 4-6yr old, mostly black & black motley faced, heavy bred to 4 months bred, few calves already on the ground

-50 head of 3-6yr old mixed cows, light bred to heavy bred

Early update on closed days in 2024.

Closed July 2 & 3, 2024 for The 4th of July Celebration!

Closed November 26 & 27, 2024 for Thanksgiving!

We will be closed December 24 & 25, 2024 for the Christmas Holiday!

This year we will be closed for the New Year since Wednesday is on

January 1, 2025! Closed December 31, 2024 & January 1, 2025.

If we have icy or bad weather please call on Tuesdays to make sure we are still having a sale. This usually means we have not got many cattle brought to sell and we don't have enough cattle to have our Wednesday sale.

Floydada Livestock is a cattle auction serving the South Plains and Panhandle of Texas. We specialize in fresh country cattle. We have the experience and knowledge to market your cattle to their best advantage, whether you have a small consignment or a large number of head to sell.

Regular sale day is on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.. We have buyers in attendance every week representing the major packing plants and feed yards. We also have a host of buyers who are looking for cattle to take home to their ranches and farms.

We have a still have a Special Weaned Calf Sale ON THE FIRST WEDNESDAY OF EVERY MONTH, in conjunction with our regular sale. Yearlings and calves must be weaned 45 days to be consigned to Special. Please call John Fortenberry at (806) 983-7394 for info on requirements to consign to these sales.
